Service Oriented capabilities like their object oriented counterpart follows standard naming conventions when it comes to naming the operations. Based on the message exchange pattern involved, these capabilities are either prefixed with one of the following list of verbs as used by the OAGIS:
• Acknowledge
• Cancel
• Change
• Confirm
• Get
• Sync
• Show
• Update
• Load
• Post
• Process
• Respond
For example, any one providing a financial calculator service may include capabilities like GetRate, ShowAnnualReturn, and UpdateAPY in their WSDL instead of some non-standard nomenclatures.
